JUNE ANGELA has been performing since age 5. She received both Broadway's Tony Award and Drama Desk Award nominations as Best Leading Actress in a Musical for her starring role as Mariko in SHOGUN and for her work on the worldwide TV series THE ELECTRIC COMPANY (PBS) with Bill Cosby, Morgan Freeman and Rita Moreno, she received an Emmy Award of Honor and a Grammy Award - she was Julie of the Short Circus. She was a regular and grew up with the show, from the pilot to the end of series episode - #720. Her many other TV credits include starring in dramas, movies, recurring roles on MAD-TV (FOX) and being a regular on 3 series including MR.T & TINA with Pat Morita (ABC Primetime).

Extensive voice work includes Nickelodeon's primetime THE WILD THORNBERRYS and Disney's critically acclaimed, Japanese animated film KIKI'S DELIVERY SERVICE for which she is also co-writer of the Main Title song. She was Anne Frank in the award-winning REMEMBERING ANNE FRANK for National Public Radio, played opposite Roger Rees, as an English woman, opposite B.D.Wong, as a 10 year old child and opposite Ruby Dee, as a Southern Belle, all for LA TheatreWorks Live Radio Series. Numerous theatre credits include Tuptim in the Broadway & London Palladium Revival of THE KING & I with Yul Brynner and starring in many world premieres including the acclaimed epic CAMBODIA AGONISTES and SAYONARA - in which her recording of the title song hit the top of the NY charts. She also starred in works at Lincoln Center, New York Shakespeare Festival, Kennedy Center, Pasadena Playhouse, East West Players and the Berkshires. She won a Theatre Guild Award as Best Lead Actress for her role in TEA in Los Angeles and also starred in the National Public Radio version. She was also invited to open The International Festival of the Arts in Singapore.

June holds the distinction of making the youngest soprano debut with the NYC Opera - at age 10 - as Flora in Benjamin Britten's THE TURN OF THE SCREW and has also sung at Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, the Metropolitan Opera House and at Wolftrap where she was the invited to sing a Cole Porter tribute with Peter Nero & the National Symphony Orchestra. June is also co-creator/author of a series of children's books entitled THE BIBBLEHOPS published by Warner Books and was lyricist-composer-performer on a Disney music video dealing with multi-culturalism. Her solo CD album, featuring full orchestra in songs from shows she has done, as well as jazz songs is released by Original Cast Records. Honored by Off-Broadway's Pan Asian Rep. at a Gala hosted by David Henry Hwang for all her work in theatre, she has also filmed a project with renowned Oscar winning cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond.

June was invited to be the special guest from America to perform 2 songs with a 70 piece orchestra in the International Festival of the Arts in Nanning, China for an audience of 40,000. It was also televised live on China TV - an audience of about a billion! Previous special guests have been kd lang and Richard Marx. This big festival encourages worldwide art and commerce, so many countries attend. China wanted an artist from the Broadway scene recommended and June was honored. It was quite an event and most successful. Recent TV projects include, "ER" (NBC), "Dexter" (Showtime), "Windfall" (NBC), Jerry Bruckheimer's "E-Ring" (NBC) opposite Benjamin Bratt and Disney's "Hannah Montana." Also, her voice is heard on Nickelodeon's series "Danny Phantom."
